This is not very exciting. I too have a MKIV derived GTI. Sad to say, but VW hasn’t excited me in a long, long while. I’m pushing 7 years with my beast and the repair bills are really starting to get stupid. $1600 last summer for the air conditioning and $3000 last week for things I thought were unnecessary. I wasn’t thrilled by the MKV GTI and I’m less thrilled by the MKVI with the Touareg taillights. As for the Jetta, there is simply stronger competition out there than what there was back in 1998 when the MKIV debuted. I wish VW well in their endeavors, but can’t say that I’ll be around for the trip…
Ehhh, not quite. The great wall logo you linked to your comment has the arcs upside-down. The Jetta’s “logo” looked like an “A” with the horizontal line making the arc. Also, the Jetta “logo” has 1 arc, while the great wall logo has two.And there’s also another logo on google, but that doesn’t match up either.
