BEDFORD, MASS (06/22/2010)(readMedia)– There may not be a tax-free holiday in Massachusetts this summer, but Bay State car buyers can still save on taxes at Minuteman Volkswagen. Recognizing the green value of Volkswagen’s fuel-efficient TDI (Turbocharged Direct Injection) clean-diesel models, the federal government is offering tax credits with a TDI purchase. However, according to the Greater Boston Volkswagen dealer, time is running out to receive the maximum tax credit on these cleaner fuel vehicles.
“This is a rare opportunity for Massachusetts VW customers to save money on taxes,” said General Manager Ray Hovsepian. “But, because of the great response to Volkswagen’s clean-diesel technology, the quota issued by the government for tax credits on these green vehicles is filling fast.”
